Treemap - Basic
treemap-basicA card that divides the area down to the items inside each group. Use it when there are too many items for a donut's slices to stay readable.
Judgment built in (3)
- Areas are proportional to the values and laid out so the cells stay close to square. The largest cell goes at the top left.
- Color goes to the groups (
groups). Only the three largest groups get a color; the rest fold into one gray Other cell. Because wide areas are filled, the colors are a step lighter than the bars'. - Names and shares are written only in cells with room. Small cells give their value in the tooltip, as the share of the total and the share within the group.
